Ready To Learn is famous for orginality and quality of it's TEACHING SYSTEM. It is the life work of Elaine Shannon, Ready To Learn's Chief Education Officer. Mrs Shannon is an internationally respected educator who has 33 years experience managing schools, teaching English and in particular, teaching phonics to children. Her career began in the UK teaching patients with speech & hearing difficulties. Later she went on to develop a research-based phonic training method for children who learn English as a second language. It is this method that forms the heart of the RTL TEACHING SYSTEM.
