Who we are
- We are a British owned education group that specialises in teaching English to children aged 3-18 years old.
- Since 1996, we have taught more than 1 million English lessons & helped tens of thousands of children achieve better results at School, and in Cambridge & Trinity tests.
- We have a presence in China, Asia & Europe. We teach in owned & partnered Learning Centres, Kindergartens, Primary and Secondary Schools . We publish over 700 education textbooks as well as teaching aides and digital learning systems. Additionally, we franchise a growing network of tutorial centres and after-school learning clubs.
- Our staff have dedicated their professional lives to teaching English to children. Our founder Elaine Shannon is an internationally respected educator who has nearly 40 years experience managing schools, teaching English and in particular, teaching phonics to children. Mrs Shannon also developed a research-based phonic training method for children who learn English as a second language. It is this method that forms the heart of the RTL Teaching System.
